In an ominous fortress perched high above the clouds, everyyhing seems in order for a 24 hour retreat amidst the dramatic mountain views. It is the spring of 1942 in Germany and Eva Braun (Elena Rufanova) is the only voice that dares contradict the Fuhrer. Shot in part in the original fortress at Hitler's retreat in the Bavarian Alps. Eva Btaun is caught up in the complexities of a mna incapable of human intimacy, making her as volcanic as her beloved Hitler (Leonid Mosgovoi). Over the course of a single day a portrait emerges of people living in an elaborate theather of war. Though there are no sounds of battle, an eerie beauty and surrealistic graininess shows that the only thing Hitler has on his mind is winning.
